Trendy Reception Dresses with artweddings

In this WEDDING TREND ALERT! I'm going to be talking about reception dresses for the bride. Although not as common today as in the past (aside from some cultural ceremonies with multiple wedding dresses), reception dresses are gaining popularity again. When my mother and father married they had special "evening attire" which was a part of their wedding. My mother wore an all white jumper very similar to this one... just imagine it a tad shorter and cinched in at the ankles. Got the imagine now?

So why are brides starting to opt for a second dress? If you have danced in a room full of 100+ people in a wedding dress that weighs nearly as much as you do in fabric, in the heat of summer... then you get it! Some brides love the idea of getting married in an extravagant ball gown; if you want to have the freedom to move around, dance, and have the time of your night into the wee hours of the morning then a reception dress may be the difference between passing out from overheating and playing one last song for the night!

artweddings has some pretty amazing and affordable reception dresses that are sure to complement any wedding dress. Check out my favourites below :)

You can even find cocktail & party dresses that would be perfect reception dresses for an affordable price. What I love about reception dresses is the fact that you can wear this dress more than once as opposed to your wedding dress that typically has a life cycle of one day. Think, New Years, a night out on the town, summer celebrations, or a future vow renewal!

artweddings offers great shipping rates and you can often score a free shipping offer listed on their homepage. artweddings is an online wedding boutique that also has a great selection of bridesmaid dresses, wedding dresses, bridal accessories, and even wedding supplies.

If you want to put a DIY spin on your reception dress check out the brooches at JOSYROSE to add a little extra flair to a simple party dress!

  1. The idea you have shared here is absolutely right dear and I completely agree with this. For my wedding at wedding San Francisco venues, I choose a simple full length wedding gown which was beautiful but equally comfortable.
